The JHS Pedals Cheese Ball is a homage to one of the weirdest and most sought after pedals to come out of the '90s - the Lovetone Big Cheese. The Big Cheese has developed quite the mythology over the years, having only been in production for a few short years and finding favour with some of the worlds most influential guitar players. Everyone from The Edge to Ed O'Brien has used one at some point, and with original now going for crazy money, the JHS Pedals Cheese Ball is the perfect option for anyone looking for an extremely accurate and faithful recreation of this highly unique fuzz circuit.
The Cheese Ball features a mixture of classic Distortion / Fuzz controls along with a unique mode selector for four tonal options. There is a nice range of gain on tap, and the Tone control has a huge tone sweep covering a variety of sounds. The mode switch gives you four options - 'Off' disengages the Tone control giving you a brighter, thrashier sound, '1' gives you a mid-scooped Big Muff style sound, '2' gives you a mid-boost that cuts through a mix and '3' gives you a fuzzed out gated sound with plenty of bite.
