Model Overview:

The Gretsch Duo Jet surely goes down in history as one of the most iconic electric guitar ever made. Since it's introduction in 1955, the Gretsch Duo Jet has been at forefront of the birth of rock'n'roll. With a chambered solid body design, the Gretsch Duo Jet has a deeper, more resonant sound than your standard single cut electric guitar, and the distinctive bite and twang of the TV Jones Filtertron humbucker pickups has been tell tale feature of Gretsch guitars for over half a century with their unique almost-single-coil tone.

The Gretsch G5520 Electromatic Jet has all the classic Duo Jet styling with a few modern refinements. Featuring a traditional chambered Mahogany body, the Gretsch G5520 Electromatic Jet has a deep and resonant tone with plenty of top end sparkle, finished off with a Maple top. The neck is Mahogany with a full feeling 'Thin U' profile, which when combined with the more modern 12" neck radius offers a vintage feel in the hand with much more modern playability.

The Gretsch G5520 Electromatic Jet's body is loaded with a pair of Black Top Broad'Tron pickups. Retaining all the characteristics of the best Gretsch pickups of yesteryear, the Gretsch G5520 Electromatic Jet has a pristine, chiming clean tone that can also break up sweetly for a vintage voiced overdriven tone. Other features include a traditional V stoptail with adjustomatic bridge, Black Walnut fingerboard with big block pearloid inlays and vintage style Gretsch arrow control knobs.
