First released in 1978, the Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes was the first pedal to simulate natural tube amp overdrive. Capable of a wide range of overdriven tones, the Hot Tubes gain control can be subtly dialled in to great effect. Anti clockwise will give mild, tube like break up, while fully clockwise will give full on saturated tube overdrive. The tone switch allows you to bypass the tone control in the circuit, resulting in a much more direct, powerful output from the pedal. With original models now fetching serious money on the vintage market, these Hot Tubes represent great value for a classic sounding natural overdrive in a far more pedalboard friendly size.
Founded in 1968, Electro Harmonix are the original pioneers of the guitar stomp box world. The first company to really offer a wide range of affordable guitar pedals, Electro Harmonix is responsible for some of the most recognisable guitar tones in rock, and today they continue to innovate as much as they have over the last 50 years.
