Earthquaker Devices Gray Channel Overdrive | Lucky Fret Music Co.

Model Overview:

Earthquaker Devices are arguably the most well known boutique effects pedal maker in the world, with a selection of pedals that is hugely diverse and encompasses both functionality and insanity in equal measure. All of their pedals are lovingly handmade in Akron, Ohio.

The Earthquaker Devices Gray Channel is the perfect combination of simplicity and tone. Based loosely on the old DOD250 overdrive pedal, the Gray Channel takes this stripped back design and spreads it over two channels making it easy to achieve pretty much any kind of drive sound. While the Gray Channel lacks specific tone controls for each channel, it makes up for this with a wide variety of clipping options allowing you to use your guitar's selector switch and tone controls for what they're supposed to be used for - tone shaping. The 'Green' channel features both Germanium and Silicon clipping options and is great for slightly lower gain sounds, with a warmer, more natural and amp like driven output. The 'Red' channel utilises LED and Mosfet clipping for achieving altogether higher gain sounds, offering more defined output and a crunchier sound when pushed. Both channels also feature a no clipping option which can act as both a fairly clean boost and an op amp distortion when cranked up nice and loud.

In a world where there are endless variations of overdrive pedals available at any one time, the Earthquaker Devices Gray Channel is a great all in one answer to you drive needs, and a perfect pedalboard space saver.
