Earthquaker Devices Cloven Hoof V2 Fuzz | Lucky Fret Music Co.

Model Overview:

Earthquaker Devices are arguably the most well known boutique effects pedal maker in the world, with a selection of pedals that is hugely diverse and encompasses both functionality and insanity in equal measure. All of their pedals are lovingly handmade in Akron, Ohio.

Designed to be the grittier, heavier brother to Earthquakers flagship Hoof fuzz, the Earthquaker Devices Cloven Hoof encompasses the same control layout and killer tone that made the original so popular, with a few tweaks to the circuitry for those who want to kick things up a notch with their fuzz sound. Instead of the Hoof's hybrid Germanium/ Silicon transistor based circuit, the Cloven Hoof uses four matched Silicon transistors for a more aggressive tone with 4x the overall output gain on tap for far more fuzz ferocity. The Cloven Hoof also incorporates NOS Carbon Comp components to add genuine vintage warmth to the sound. The 'Shift' control still acts as midrange sweep control much like the original Hoof, and is perfect for sculpting your tone to just how you want it. However, the Cloven Hoof redesigns this 'Shift' control ever so slightly, with a wider frequency sweep to accommodate the Cloven Hoofs fuller low end response.

For anyone who loved the original Hoof but craves higher grain and a more aggressive character, the Earthquaker Devices Cloven Hoof is the fuzz you've been looking for.
