Originally introduced in 1959 as a student instrument, Gibson Melody Makers are seriously cool vintage solidbody Gibson guitars, and a relatively inexpensive gateway in the world of vintage Gibson guitars. Constructed from a Mahogany set neck along with a thinner Mahogany body makes this is a wonderfully light and resonant instrument, while the single coil pickup has plenty of clarity and definition, as well as some typical bridge position bite. This particular model from 1965 also features a Maestro vibrato for smooth vibrato sounds and a cool vintage look. The neck is comfortable, typically mid '60s Gibson profile, and the original open gear tuners remain intact and fully working. A great vintage Gibson with plenty of tone for those looking to start a collection!
This guitar is in very good condition, and features the kind of cosmetic wear commensurate with a guitar of its age, including some scuffs to the finish around the edges. It is internally and externally original, and retains its original case.
