Introduced in 1942, the Gibson J-45 is a flagship Gibson acoustic that has been used by countless players over the years, with a perfectly balanced tone that suits a huge range of playing styles. The J-45 features a flat top design with Mahogany back and sides with a spruce top, Rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, silkscreen logo, 3-a-side Kluson tuners, sunburst finish and a 24 3/4" scale length.
This example from 1965 is in very good cosmetic condition for its age, with no repairs to mention and a nicely faded sunburst finish that gives a golden honey looking tinge to the top, with some red remaining around the edges. The X braced spruce top gives you a resonant and harmonic response to open chord playing and fingerstyle alike, with plenty of presence. The bridge is an original belly up rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle, and the tuners and pickguard are also original. A fantastic sounding and playing vintage Gibson acoustic.
This guitar is in very good condition and includes a hiscox hard case.
