Model Overview:

The Fender Musicmaster was introduced in 1956 as the companies most affordable, stripped back option, aimed at the student market. Since then it has found favour with musicians for its comfortable shortscale feel and classic Fender single coil chime. This '64 Musicmaster features a shorter 22 1/2" scale length and single slant-mounted plastic covered pickup at the neck. This example has a veneer board with 'clay' dot inlays, a nice D profile to the neck with a really nice aged feel. The original white finish with the tortoise guard is a great looking combo, and has faded to a creamier 'Olympic White' look, though the finish has some very small areas of finish touch up around the lower horn. This guitar is an excellent players piece and a good gateway option in to the world of pre-CBS Fender guitars.
