A beautiful, all original, one owner 1963 spaghetti logo Stratocaster in one of Fender's most desirable custom colours, Lake Placid Blue.
This guitar was purchased by us from the original owner who used it extensively in the 60s and 70s touring the midlands as part of a function band. Although the instrument has been refretted by ourselves (the original frets are included in the sale), this is the only change from it's original state. Furthermore, we were the first to open it up, and can confirm it is completely original and solder intact under the hood.
As the photos show, this is a stunning example with the most beautiful wear and patina we've seen on a custom colour Strat. The elbow wear has revealed all layers used by Fender during the finishing process, giving this guitar the most attractive patina and genuine relic'ing you can only obtain through years of playing.
A stunning guitar and rare opportunity to secure a one owner, 100% original example with such character. Comes complete with the original white Tolex case.
