Fender Stratocasters

Completely changing the face of music from it's inception in 1954, the Fender Stratocaster is one of the most imitated and cloned guitar shapes.

The "Comfort Contour Body" was the first body from Fender to take into consideration human ergonomics, adding a belly cut and forearm contour not seen on the earlier Esquires or Telecasters. This contouring continued with the introduction of the Fender offest Jazzmasters, and Jaguars. The impact of the contouring can also be seen in the evolution of the Precision Bass and the later released Jazz Bass.
