After working through as many possible variations as they could, the good folks at JHS Pedals settled on a selection of nine circuits and set about recreating them. The Bonsai incorporates elements of the lower gain TS808 circuit, the higher gain 90's TS7 circuit, the Keeley modded Tube Screamer variation, and JHS Pedals own highly coveted Tube Screamer Mod circuit among many, many others. The controls are simple, with a rotary knob to switch between each circuit variation and standard controls for volume, tone and drive. All circuits featured in the Bonsai are exact replications of the originals, not merely JHS created emulations of those tones, making the Bonsai by far the most versatile pedal around for genuinely vintage sounding overdrive tones.
