This limited edition Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster was built in 2005 as a 100 piece limited run for the January NAMM show, and is a unique on a classic '50s style Stratocaster. This '56 Relic Strat is comprised of an Alder body paired with a Maple neck, finished with a lightly tinted Desert Sand nitrocellulose lacquer. As a limited edition model, this '56 Reissue is something a bit special, and features a '50s style gold anodised pickguard along with all gold, relic'd hardware.
The neck is a '57 'Soft V' profile on the back and a 9.5 radius on the front, for the perfect balance between a vintage feel and modern playability. The body is fitted with hand wound '50s voiced pickups with Alnico 3 Magnets housed in coffee white relic'd covers. As with all Fender Custom Shop instruments, this guitar is finished exceptionally and includes its embroidered Custom Shop case and limited edition certificate.
