A very rare, original custom colour Sonic Blue Stratocaster in superb condition complete with case candy and original white Tolex case. Rarely seen in today's market, this is an excellent opportunity to acquire an all original, golden era Strat in one of the most sought after finishes.
The most noteworthy thing to mention about this example, besides the beautifully aged, original Sonic Blue finish against the original mint guard is the figuring of the woods used on the neck. The Maple has a beautiful, wide grain to it (especially on the front of the headstock) and the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard has a fantastic golden hue to it. This guitar is both stunning to look at and a joy to play. The comfortable C profile neck has that desirable vintage feel and thanks to a setup and refret by our in house tech it plays really well. It sounds as you'd expect from a Strat of this period where the quality of production and materials used were second to none.
The guitar is 100% original (besides the refret) down to the solder joints. The neck dates to October '63, all pot codes match and date to the 47th week of '63, wiring, hardware and all electronics are untouched and original. It comes complete with it's original white Tolex case, original leather strap, repro tremolo arm and ashtray.
The perfect collector grade example.
