The Old Blood Noise Endeavours Black Fountain serves as a modern recreation of the often forgotten Oil Can Delay units manufactured by the likes of Fender, Morley and Tel Ray in the 1960's, with a rich, vintage voiced delay tone and additional modulation control.
The Black Fountain features standard controls for Time, Feedback and Mix that are found on most delay pedals, as well as a Fluid control that sets the level of modulation similarly to the wobble of the electrostatic delay platter found in old Oil Can units. The Black Fountain is based around 3 switchable modes. The first of these is the 'Modern' mode, offering a longer delay time with 800ms of delay and a cleaner sound that mimics the vibe of the vintage units. The 'Organ' mode emulates short delay oil can units, with 211ms of delay time for a vintage style slap back echo effect. The 'Vintage' mode functions similarly to the 'Modern' mode, with 800ms of delay time but a far more lofi, grainier sound with a dirtier sounding output.
The Old Blood Noise Endeavours Black Fountain also features an external expression input jack that allows you to control the Time or Fluid knobswith an external expression pedal.
Old Blood Noise Endeavours, based in Oklahoma, make some of the most distinctive sounding guitar effects out there, with endless parings of different tones combining in the same pedal to ensure that all kinds of players have something they can use to create beautifully experimental sounds.
